This is the first book of Animal’s that I read. I have been hooked ever since on his raunchy, witty style and the wealth of information he covers.

Like most of Marc’s early works, it is designed to teach young macho black belts the realities of being tough and getting into fights. And what you can do about those realities when they start to expand your experience.
IMPROVISED WEAPONS
If you are a senior, I know what you are thinking…why do old farts like us need to worry anymore about bar fights and pool hall fights? Well, if you look old enough, you may look like a victim and bad guys do not let you chose where they will rip you off. Also, all of the traditional weapons are discussed in the context of common place tools useful in the same way as the weapon under discussion.

If you learn the principles of how to use improvised tools as weapons, anything you can pick up has a use. Whether you are in your car, your yard in or the house, you are surrounded by so many potential weapons it is embarrassing but if you don’t know the proper physics for a certain class of tool, it can rebound and bite you back. Ouch!

Even your cane is an improvised weapon.

 Chapter titles tell the story:

1. Serious Sh*tquarter staff

2. The Basics

3. F.I.K.L.F.O.

4. Quarterstaff, Polearm and Spear

5. Swords and Blundgeons

6. Strike Enhancers

7. Flexible Weapons

8. Diversions

improvised weapons9. Afterward

First he orders all the weapons at hand into their respective categories. Know how to use one in a group and with little refinement, you can use the whole group. Cool eh?

So look around you, and if there is an object you are not quite sure the best way to use it as a weapon, give this book a read. You won’t be disappointed at all.
